Aishwarya Sultania: Multimedia, Installation Artist
Aishwarya Sultania, an All India Young People Award winner of 2001, a yoga enthusiast, an artist and a multimedia expert graced “Toxicity-2020” with her presence which was an alternative art symposium organized by Chitkara School of Art & Philosophy Unbound in the university campus. My interview with her was an example as to how Aishwarya, looks at herself and life as a whole with respect to art as well. How is your experience at Chitkara University & How would you like to explain “Toxicity 2020” Experience here at the university is very good and also if talking about Toxicity, I feel honoured that for us (the artists) an international alternative art symposium is being organized, it gives me immense pleasure to see that artists also get a platform like “Toxicity” to showcase the talents and their perspective of life? As you are right here, I would like to know how far is Extra-Curricular Activities important, as you yourself are a lot into Yoga & Hockey apart from Art? For me, it’s very important to indulge or participate in sports as, I myself, am addicted to Facebook but every co circular activity helps me to rejuvenate not only from my body but also through Body & Soul. As an artist, if given a situation of you being against the Citizenship Amendment Act, how would you express your Anger on the issue? First of all, I would say that I am not at all against the CAA but if this is the situation, I would like to come out with certain different campaigns in order to let people know and express my anger. For something like, if people wastewater, that is something which gains a momentum of anger in me, for this I would really like to bring out certain activities. Today’s generation is too much busy into social media without even realising their actual potential, so what message would you like to give to the youth? As I already told you that even I am addicted to Social Media, but it’s really important as to how you utilize your given resources and not exploit them. Using social media for something productive will truly help you realize your potential. An artist is perfect at whatever he or she does, and there was a perfect example for the people here in the university. Thanking Aishwarya Sultania, ended with a positive message to the youth and also with a positive presentation of Food Toxicity using her demonstration and installation, the installation was witnessed by many of the college students which in-turn was seen getting the message communicated to them regarding food and its toxic levels and especially the effects of street food on our body and the way it accumulates and effects on the body.
